Pak-Persian rugs are also inspired by Persian rugs but boast a more contemporary design.

Aldar rugs from Pakistan have a repeated diamond-shaped gull motif lined up in rows while Jaldar rugs can be differentiated by their more angular shaped gulls. Sometimes called Ziegler, Chobi rugs use senneh knots to display lively floral patterns. Other Pakistan rug types include Caucasian, Peshawar and Oushak.
